Saturday Club
LEAPS Suffolk offers two fortnightly Saturday Clubs for people with mild to moderate additional needs.
Our morning session is for 5 - 12 years, and is split into 3 groups dependant on age and need. The timings are 9AM - 11.45PM.
Our afternoon session is for people aged 12 - 25 years. The timings are 1PM - 4PM
We offer a safe, stimulating environment where people can access and experience different activities and just be themselves.
As with our Holiday Clubs there is an abundance of activities and experiences both indoors and outside. This includes, crafts, music, dancing, table tennis, air hockey, puppets, construction such as Lego, marble runs, cooking, a variety of games, small world, sensory play etc. and that is just inside! We have access to two large outdoor areas, with a trampoline, climbing equipment, swings, team games, basketball, football or just having some time to relax. We also use the gym for games and obstacle courses.
We aim to encourage life skills through our activities and experiences. However there is no pressure to take part in activities, we recognise that the people who join us just want to have fun. We follow an individuals interests where possible and try to extend on this by introducing new experiences. We are an IT free zone!
Snack is provided at both sessions and we can cater for gluten free and other preferences, allergies, or intolerances.
We can administer certain medication, this will be discussed when the initial registration form is returned
